Discussion Questions: Through Esther's Eyes, Part 3

jbeltowski3

Lazarus was dead for four days. In the novel, we glimpse how Esther feels about it, but we know little of what Lazarus feels. Can you imagine or give insight as to what Lazarus experienced with dying, being dead, and being raised from the dead?

Esther says that “If joy could be seen, then it would be seeing Jesus everywhere.” What does joy look like to you? Imagine this story was through your eyes. What would you see?

Have you experienced the crucified Jesus? How so?

Have you experienced the resurrected Jesus? How so?

Aunt Mary is very present in the third part of the book, though she says few words. What impact does she make in Esther’s life? What impact does she make in your life?

What is your relationship with Jesus like? Do you believe that He has offered you eternal life? Imagine what eternal life is like.
